...is Kusudama

When I stumbled upon this tutorial for Japanese kusudama balls, I was inspired!  As individual flowers, they were the perfect (and cost effective) alternate to live flowers for each place setting at M&V's reception.  I designed two sided paper using the raspberry and damask theme, threw in some polka dots (who I have had a longstanding love affair with) and started folding away...

...and Voila!  How cute is that?  I can't wait to see how these babies look with the pink satin napkins and damask accented menu cards all laid out!

M&V sent each other the super cute "Love is..." comics by Kim Casali when they first started dating, so i wanted to help them incorporate them into their wedding.  So, what better way than customized table numbers?  Here are some design options I created, which one do you like best?

I've been busy working on M&V's wedding design with M over the past month and I'm excited to share the fruits of our labor!  Here is the inspiration board I put together for M after chatting about her love of bright colors and elegant damask (which I love, oh so much):

For the past 23 years some things have always been a constant in my life: obsessive organization, appreciation of family, love of shiny objects, scrutinizing attention to detail...hmm the list goes on.  The point is, after all these years it finally hit me that the perfect way to tie together all of my passions is event planning!
